CFMW Changes to Business Operations Due to COVID-19 + SARS-CoV-2

CORRECTED: CFMW Changes to Business Operations Due to COVID-19 + SARS-CoV-2

As you may be aware Charlotte currently has 11 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the first reported case on March 3.  On March 10 Governor Cooper declared a State of Emergency as the statewide number climbed to now 46 and on March 14 ordered K-12 public schools closed to include bans on large gatherings.  Today the Governor has issued an Executive Order to close restaurants and bars for dine-in service at 5:00 pm.  The recommended restrictions on occupying public spaces has been whittled down over the past few days from 250 to 10.  It seems that each day more restrictive guidelines are introduced.

Out of an abundance of caution and with consideration of NCDHHS Recommendations effective on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 we have decided to operate the practice 100% virtually during our normal business hours until further notice.  All current and future scheduled sessions will be converted to virtual appointments through our Telehealth platform.  All current clients will be contacted by your assigned therapist to assist with logging on for sessions.  Phone sessions can be conducted instead if preferred.  Please refer to the Scheduling, Intake, and Cancellation Policy in your client portal for additional details.

While many businesses are closing we are uniquely positioned to increase support for the community during this unprecedented time of crisis.  We know that as a result of the COVID-19 and SARS-CoV-2 pandemic people may be experiencing increased anxiety, irritability, mood fluctuations, and substance use.  While things are changing rapidly and are seemingly unstable it's very important to continue to attend your scheduled sessions. If it's been a while since you've checked in now is a great time to get reconnected to support.  In times of need Center for Family & Maternal Wellness has always stepped up in support our community and we will again.  Our thoughts are with you and your family and we are sending affirmations of wellness and protection.

Please follow us on our social media for up to date information regarding business operations.  Also direct all operations related inquiries to [email protected] and clinical inquiries to your therapist or the Director of Clinical Services.
